The Symposium takes place at the lecture hall of the Instrument-Making Plant. It is a series of public presentations, lectures and seminars discussing one of the sides of New Literacy — media. We recommend journalists, sociologists, copywriters, architects, designers, and art historians — those whose practice is linked to traditional or new media — to participate. During 4 days of its work, from Wednesday to Friday, please come to discuss the pros and cons of network communities, cinematography of texts in the digital environment, overcoming of Marx’s alienation of the means of production, platform and cognitive capitalisms, hidden power of Taylorism, practices of self-curatorship, and weird features of the “social” in the social networks.
Admission is free. Working languages: Russian and English.
